About us
Thought I’d introduce myself for any of you that don’t know me. I’m Róisín, married to Mark @irishmarinetraining and we have 2 kids Leo and Millie. We live in Schull, West Cork but are also often found in Crookhaven, working and hanging out with family and Friends.
I started making Cold Process Soap a few years ago as I get bad eczema on my hands and I was looking for something more gentle for my skin. I really enjoy the process, its quite similar to baking, another thing I love to do. Although waiting the 4 to 6 weeks for the soap to cure is not! Its teaching me patience for sure.
I wanted these Soaps to be as natural as possible, colours from the plants around us, aromas from Essential Oils so they have some therapeutic properties as well as a gorgeous scent, full of skin loving oils that protect and nourish the largest organ of our body.
These soaps are made in small batches by hand, here in West Cork, are sustainable and Vegan.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them X
Why the name Trá West Cork?
It’s the Irish word for beach and the beach is my favourite place to be.
Feet in the sand and the salty breeze on my face is bliss. My go to place, it inspires me, calms me, grounds me and just helps me to feel more like me when I’m there and after I’ve left. It’s a place that we go as a family and have spent many happy times by ourselves and with friends either here in West Cork or away on holidays.
For us there is no better time then drinking flasks of tea, having a picnic and listening to the waves. If the sun is shining bright in summer it’s great but even in the winter it’s fun too! The beach just makes everything better.
